Veinwave in Brooklyn, NY

Veinwave is a revolutionary technique, formerly available only in the UK, for the treatment of rosacea and spider veins. This new technique has recently gained FDA approval and is available at facilities across the United States. It was developed by vascular surgeons to successfully eliminate unsightly vessels through a process called thermo-coagulation. Veinwave uses microwaves at a very high frequency and an insulated needle to achieve instantly visible results. Because Veinwave utilizes a fine, insulated needle, it is possible to treat smaller, more sensitive areas such as the ankles and nose. This advanced is beneficial for those unable to be use alternative treatments, such as sclerotherapy and laser treatment, which cannot be used on these areas of the body and can also cause scarring. Patients with allergy concerns do not need to worry about negative reactions to solutions, such as those used in sclerotherapy.

Most patients can be treated successfully in a series of three to five, fifteen minute sessions. During each session, up to 30-50 cm of veins can be treated by the nearly 250 pulses of the Veinwave needle. A single-use, insulated needle is used to send high frequency waves into the veins, causing the vein to collapse and disappear. The procedure is virtually painless and does not cause bruising or require bandaging. Patients are able to see results immediately upon leaving their consultation and are able to immediately resume normal activity. Patients do not see permanent skin pigmentation or scarring with Veinwave as they might with sclerotherapy or laser treatment, though it is normal to see some redness immediately following treatment.

Veinwave is still fairly new in the United States and cost will vary by location and facility, but could run anywhere from $400 to $800, depending on the number of treatments necessary. Some facilities may have special offers, or can offer in-house financing to ensure your ability to take advantage of this effective new procedure.
